Day after the Election :(

Yesterday was a sad day for this country.  On the election ballot was an opportunity to choose a new President.  Half our nation truly tried to elect Mitt Romney.  One of the best canidate that ever graced this country.  He was honest, very smart and new what to do to improve our country.  The other half voted for the incombent Obama.  He is a liar, thief and a power hungry individual.  The sad part of this story is only 40 percent of LDS are registered and the other christian faiths didn't vote for Romney because of his religion.  SO sad,  the demographics of our country are changing and its going to get worse.  I guess we weren't humble enough for the Lords help.  But there is hope out there, our Prophets have predicted these things in the BOM to the present.
Last night I jump in my pool....just so I could feel again.  :(

Albert and Merrily Higgins

Yesterday my dad and Merrily Hill were married in the Mesa Temple!!  Yes its true, my dad has remarried for the 3rd time!  I am so thrilled for him!  I am not sure when he started talking to Sis Hill again but I am glad when he asked her to marry him and she said yes.  I won't write too long now, but I am so pleased that my dad isn't alone and he has Merrily to be with and she has him to hold her and keep her close.  Theres always room for love at any age and my dad has shown me what a great man he has been and to share his heart not only with my mom but with Jane and now Merrily!  Love you both!!  :)  The picture was taken by my daughter Dana and Tata is with her and Lexi, Dana's oldest daughter!

Today is Jamie's Birthday!!

Today is Jamie's birthday!  She was my first blue-eyed baby and I was so happy!  I never in a million years thought I would have a baby with blue eyes.  Her older sisters loved being around her.   As she got older and we would go out shopping for whatever, it was always interesting to see the looks on peoples faces as they would see her, then look at me.  You could see what they were thinking..it was too funny!  Some were even brave enough to ask if she was mine, or should I say stupid enough!  :)  This has been an eventful year for Jamie.  In January she married her "internet" best friend!  Ryan, she is now Mrs. Jamie Christensen!  And when we met him, we knew he was the ONE.  Her match in everyway!  They have a little puppy now named Oso!  He's their little baby till they get one of their own.  One with 2 legs.  :)  Jamie and Ryan live in Utah, close to Ryan's family so its good so that Jamie can develop a relationship with his side of the family!  We love you Jamie!  We are so proud of you and Ryan....now to try to add some pictures.  :)

My Amy Butler Tote!

This week I finally finished my Amy Butler tote!   I really loved this fabric and actually bought it a while ago.  I also have fabric to make two more.   What I wanted to mention about this tote, is that it is very labor intensive!  I am a beginner so it may go faster for better sewer's than I.   The cutting it out part...putting it together went a lot faster!!  But I do like it.  Hope you liked it too.  This is a gift for one of my daughters.  Thanks!

Space shuttle DISCOVERY

Today the Space shuttle DISCOVERY is being retired at the Smithsonian Museum. I watched it being flown on the back of a huge Boeing airplane and it landed in DC. What an awesome site. The thing I remember about the flights of these space shuttles, was the Space shuttle CHALLENGER. It blew up as it was taking off and all the crew died. We watched it on TV and it was so sad. Jim and I were in the car when we heard about it on the radio and I cried. Then we watched it on TV and it was so sad. They had interviewed all on board before it had taken off so you knew about the people on board. Theres a video out there to watch. Good job DISCOVERY!
